I directed Angel Street (Gaslight) at Fells Point Corner Theater, January-February 2022. This was a “cultural sniping” project that offered a subversive feminist interpretation of Patrick Hamilton’s 1938 play. In this production, we also invited audience members to share reflections on a bulletin board in the lobby; photos of some responses are below. Production photos feature Tatiana Nya Ford as Bella Manningham, Rob Vary as Jack Manningham, Elijah Moreland as Detective Rough, Betse Lyons as Nancy, and Ruta Douglas-Smith as Elizabeth. I directed Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple in January 2019 with Guerrilla Theatre Front in Baltimore, MD. My vision for the play explored masculinity and masculine identity, mental health, and male friendship through an intersectional lens. We staged the production in a Baltimore row house, inviting audiences to make themselves at home with a seat in the living room at “Oscar’s Place.” Production photos feature Mike Smith as Oscar Madison, Justin Johnson as Felix Ungar, Carlos del Valle as Speed, Rory Kennison as Murray, Heiko Spieker as Roy, Stephen Edwards as Vinnie, Aladrian Wetzel as Cecily Pigeon, and Jenn Alexander as Gwendolyn Pigeon.

I co-directed the 2019 world premiere of the original play Thank You, Dad by Aladrian C. Wetzel at Baltimore Theatre Project. This one-person play about the People’s Temple tragedy featured Lance Bankerd in the role of Jim Jones. My co-directors were Donna Ibale and Justin Johnson.

I both directed and acted in Audrey Cefaly’s piece Love is a Blue Tick Hound, which played at the 2018 Women’s Voices Festival in DC and also at Baltimore Theatre Project. This piece consists of four one-act plays, each featuring two actors; each one-act was directed by a different director who also acted in another of the short plays.
